Yesterday ended with attending the Mount Rushmore Flag Retreat and the evening lighting of The Faces. It began with the singing of "America the Beautiful", then the presentation of the meaning of the Constitution by a Park Ranger and the crowd singing the the National Anthem. The Ranger then invited all military veterans to come down to the amphitheater stage to be recognized by the audience and to participate in the lowering of the colors. Wes and about 100 other vets, all the way from WWII to those presently serving, went down. It was very moving.
We attended the same ceremony when we were last there. Very moving. Think it should be on everyone's bucket list. Sounds like you guys are having a great time. Stay safe and we'll see you on the eastern shore next month.
