We left Devils Tower today and are on the road to Cody,WY. We crossed over the Big Horn Mountains. The road was curvy but wonderfully maintained and constructed. We left an elevation of 3,500 feet and climbed to over 9,000 feet and back down to 4,000 feet in the Cody area. A magnificent ride with spectacular views. Here's a couple of shots but they just doesn't do justice to the seeing the real thing.
An absolutely beautiful area. Don't know if you are headed that way or not, but we think the most breathtaking place in the country is the Beartooth Pass (10,947) area on US-212 leading out of the North East entrance of YNP to Red Lodge, MT. If you have the time it's worth the trip.
