..... and speaking of the Polhmans .....

..... we made it to their lovely home in Virginia beach yesterday afternoon after leaving "Bunn's Barbecue Restaurant" and continuing north.  We went out to dinner at "Bubba's Seafood Restaurant & Crab House" for a delicious dinner.  Did I say we like a good meal from time to time ???

"Bubba's" is located on Lynnhaven Bay in Virginia Beach.  It definitely has a more refined look that "Bunn's".

Here we are with Carol & H.T. at "Bubba's"

We enjoyed an overnight at the Pohlman's, Carol fixed a yummy breakfast, we bid them  farewell and headed out on the last leg of our journey.

Windsor, North Carolina

We left the New Bern area today and continued toward Virginia Beach.  Along the way, we stopped at Bunn's Barbecue in Windsor, NC and had a Carolina-Style BBQ sandwich on cornbread, topped with cole slaw.  This gastronomic delight was suggested to us by our RV buddies, H.T. & Carol Pohlman.  As H.T. would say  "The place is not much to look at but the foods to die for".   The restaurant has just celebrated it's 75th anniversary, is housed in an old gas station located "off the beaten path" and is a local institution.  The food is terrific and the ambiance is loaded with "character".

Here's Barb definitely helping the ambience at Bunn's.
